Basketball Journey Begins
Little Rippers is a fun and exciting program that allows children to be introduced to the game of basketball. Basketball is a fantastic sport that can be played all year round, indoors or outdoors and you don’t even need a hoop!
The Little Rippers program uses a “game sense” approach where children learn basketball through playing lots of games and activities. Little Rippers is for all boys and girls from 4-11 years of age and ALL abilities! This introduction to basketball program aims to teach children the fundamental skills and rules of the game. Players will have fun learning how to shoot, dribble and pass as they begin to play actual games of basketball.
Players are taught how to enjoy the sport and play the game fairly, simultaneously preparing them to join a team in one of our junior club competitions. This program is delivered in school term blocks (approximately 8 weeks) on a Saturday morning and various venues in the area. All NEW participants will need to purchase the Little Rippers pack which includes a basketball and reversible singlet.

The Program

The Details
Little Rippers runs on a Term by Term basis at Palmview State Secondary College.
- 8am – 9am Rookies – ages 4 to 7 years
- 9am – 10am Development Skills – 9 to 11 years
- 10am – 11am Development Game – ages 9 to 11 years (2 time slots)
- 11am – 12pm Intermediate Skills – 9 to 11 years
- 12pm – 1:30pm Intermediate Game – ages 9 to 11 years (2 time slots)
