General Manager’s welcome.

Basketball is one of the top 2 most popular sports in the world, played in over 200 countries by over 450 million players. It’s fun, exciting and it’s spectacular at the highest levels, it’s a game any gender can play, all you need is a ring and a ball…..

The Olympics are coming to town and if you think the game is growing considerably now, wait until the facilities start to roll out across Queensland as we head closer to 2032. I’m excited to be a part of the growth of our game at UniSC Rip City as General Manager. My role will come in many forms and primarily it is to manage the growth of the sport for our athletes and administrators to ensure we are on the right path to deliver seamless games week in week out, from our 4 year old Little Rippers to our Senior NBL1 teams, and to do it all with respect, integrity and professionalism.

Our pathways program is being established and strengthened everyday which sees players, officials and administrators shown opportunities to grow from juniors right through to NBL1, NBL Mens and Womens, US College Ball and the NBA and WNBA competitions. It all starts with a goal and vision. I’m really excited to be a part of this, and to help possibly identify the next NBA or WNBA all-star emerge from our club. Who knows, we might already have the next Patty Mills or Steph Talbot running around in our Little Rippers Program……
