UniSC Rip City women are looking to get back on track against a struggling Red City Roar

The UniSC Rip City women are looking to get back on track against a struggling Red City Roar women’s side, having dropped both games by an average of 20 points. The Roar are led by guard Lilly Rotunno (19.5 points per game) Shorna Preston (14.5 points per game) and Jaylen Cooper (10 points per game.)

The UniSC women will have a clear and dominating advantage inside, barring any roster changes over the break for Red City and should look to attack both the basket and glass all night long.

Red City struggles on the defensive end the most, something Rip will need to take advantage of early and often, searching for good looks and finding the open player.  Look for Carlie Smith, Steph Bairstow, Yasmin Miller and Megan Mullins to be active throughout the game.

N’Dea Flye will also look to take advantage of the subpar defense as she did a great job in Round 1 of penetrating and manipulating the defense of Phoenix.

Look for an improved effort on the defensive end from the girls after their previous outing as they look to find form on that end of the floor and build cohesion as a unit.

The women will be in the late slot on Saturday with tip off in Redlands at 7:30. You can catch the game live or on the NBL1 livestream!
