UniSC Rip City men looking to continue their winning ways

The UniSC Rip City men are coming fresh off the bye week and looking to continue their winning ways. Last time out, the men secured their first win of the season beating the Brisbane Captials at UniSC stadium.  The men head to Redlands to take on the Red City Roar who are coming off their first win of the season, beating a talented SW Metro squad 85-91.

Red City will look to star import Jaylen Key (24 points per game) to provide the big offensive punch for them as point guard Nelson Larkins will be the engine that drives them. Red City will look for major contributions from Javaan Mumtaz (19 points last game) Kane Bishop and big man Jordan Schwalger.

The Roar are physical on the defensive end and put pressure on the glass, so the men will need to match their energy and physicality on both ends.

Furthermore, the men will need to push the ball early and often as Red City has kept both opponents who have plenty of fire power to low scoring outputs. Putting constant pressure on the Roar’s transition defense will be a key factor in this one.

The men will be playing in Redlands this Saturday in the early slot at 5:30. You can catch the game in Redlands or on the NBL1 website.
