Thank You to Outgoing President Matt Nason Sunshine Coast Rip City

President Matt Nason has officially resigned from the club to take on new opportunities.

Matt initially announced his intention to depart Rip City at the club’s award night in August.

On behalf of the club, we wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication to our club.

Throughout Matt’s time at the club and in particular as President, he has shown immense passion, commitment, and tireless effort in guiding our club to new heights.

Under Matt’s guidance, we have witnessed unprecedented growth and development, both on and off the court. Matt’s leadership has not only cultivated success but also fostered an environment of hard work, inclusion, and a commitment to high performance within our family friendly club.

Matt’s impact on our players and families will not be forgotten. We wish Matt all the best in his new endeavors and watch this space for Matt’s next venture.

We are pleased to announce Jason Brooks has stepped into the role to take us to the next AGM and he has been working with Matt through a transition period.

Jason has been involved in the club for a number of years through coaching, representative duties and assisting with our girls program.

Jason is excited about the opportunity and challenges ahead. Jason has already been hard at work to help reinforce the club’s foundations, support our focus on performance and pathways, and to steer Rip City back for NBL1 2025.
